Borabu Constituency is one of the constituencies in Nyamira county with an approximate population of 117,090 people with an approximate of 297.70. Sq Km is Size. The constituency is among the newest constituencies in Kenya, with the current leadership serving their first term since its creation.

The constituency is distinguished by a natural beauty, and an enviable geographic location that provides economic development opportunity in a wide range of businesses and industries. The constituency has one of the largest Tea Estate in the region with enormous agriculture potential due to fertile and large farms. The area is also known for its cultural diversity and large pool of talents and educated young people

The constituency offers some rich tourist potentials like the source of river Gucha, caves of Kiabonyoru wards, Rich indigenous history among others.The preservation of these natural resources, in part, reflects the constituency’s strong commitment to its rural heritage. Opportunities for growth can be found in building upon the constituency’s agricultural potential and strong commercial Tea Estates.Among the main cash crops in the Constituency are ; Tea, Coffee and Pyrethrum though largely in small scale .Food crops dominant in the constituency are, pineapples, Bananas, Maize, Beans ,Avocados and green vegetables. The single most significant resource in our Constituency is the citizenry and hardworking farmers.
